Volunteers
are a constantly
in-demand
critical
resource.
Our region receives nearly 20k ride requests each year, VolTran drivers provide thousands of rides annually, tracking more than 30k miles driven!
With the rapid aging of individuals in Virginia, needs for travel are always increasing, necessitating more volunteers to support our rural area where public transportation is not available in many areas.
VolTran partners with several programs through the Trusted Community Partnership (TCP) to provide drivers with a wide range of supports including liability insurance, training/educational opportunities, mileage incentive programs, and volunteer appreciation events.
Please consider joining our team today; we need your help!

"I have always worked with people and loved it. When I retired, I wanted a volunteer job working with people. I combined my love of driving with my love of people, and here I am. Helping others through VolTran has been extremely rewarding over the years."
